The Charleston Festival
Rechristened last year, the former Festival of Houses and Gardens has been going strong since 1947. The name may be different, but the concept is the same: participants get a look inside some of Charleston’s most charming and historic homes and gardens, and proceeds benefit the Historic Charleston Foundation. Programming has expanded in recent years to include a lecture series, music performances, and Charleston socials.

Greenville Drive
Grab those peanuts and Cracker Jacks and come root for the Drive at Fluor Field in their 21st season opener on April 2. The Drive’s first three home games pit them against the Greensboro Grasshoppers; in mid-April, they take on the Bowling Green Hot Rods in a six-game series. At the end of the month, watch the two Upstate teams go head-to-head when the Drive challenges the Hub City Spartanburgers.

The Mountaintop
In this gripping drama, playwright Katori Hall imagines how Martin Luther King, Jr. might have faced his own mortality and legacy on the eve of his death in 1968. The play is such a surprising take on MLK that no US theaters would touch it at first. The Mountaintop opened in London, where Hall won the Olivier Award for Best New Play in 2010—the first Black woman to receive this prize.

Frosty Farmers Market
Get a jump on spring produce before the summer market starts in May at the last three indoor markets at McAlister Square. More than 100 vendors fill the sprawling market each week, offering a cornucopia of wares, including fresh vegetables, eggs, handmade pasta, artisanal baked goods, and local cheese, along with hand-crafted soaps, jewelry, herb plants, and treats for Fido. IMAGINE Upstate Festival
Despite what your kids may tell you, learning can be lots of fun. Prove it by bringing them to this innovative festival to spark their interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM). Interactive exhibits designed for pre-K through 12th-grade students and their families include everything from drones and robotics demonstrations to hands-on science activities.

Cinderella
Will the slipper fit? Even though you know the answer, it will still lift your spirits when the prince places that glass slipper on Cinderella’s foot. A wicked stepmother, a fairy godmother, and a handsome prince all figure in this romantic rags-to-riches tale, performed by dancers of the Carolina Ballet Theatre and set to the original score by Sergei Prokofiev.

Tiara’s Hat Parade
Tiara loves to model hats and chat with customers in her mother’s small hat shop, but when a big box store opens in town, it threatens her mother’s business. To help save the shop, Tiara hatches a plan and demonstrates that one small gesture can make a big difference. Southern Roots, A BBQ Reunion
Get fired up for a finger-lickin’ good time at this popular annual BBQ festival. At Trailblazer Park, 38 acclaimed pitmasters and chefs will provide the food and a lineup of live bands kicks up the entertainment. Proceeds benefit iDefine, a nonprofit created by Southern Roots founder, Chef Geoff Rhyne, to help families of children with Kleefstra Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder.

Upstate Heart Walk

Graham Nash: Live on Tour
Grammy winner and two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Graham Nash brings his 2026 tour to the Peace Center stage for one night. Mauldin Jazz and Blues Festival
Let your ears lead you to the amphitheater at Mauldin Cultural Center for an evening of jazz and blues music. Reedy River Run
One of the oldest road races in the South, the Reedy River Run turns 48 this year. Starting on Main Street, the course goes through Cleveland and Falls parks and finishes on Falls Drive near Camperdown Way. Not an avid runner? Bob Dylan “Rough and Rowdy Ways” Tour
Emerging from the Greenwich Village folk music scene in the 1960s, Bob Dylan rose to become one of the most original and poetic voices in the history of American pop music. Hope Ball
A shining star on Greenville’s social calendar since 1984, the biennial Hope Ball is the major fundraiser for the Neighborhood Cancer Connection. Greenville Cycling Classic
Gear up for excitement as the Greenville Cycling Classic returns to downtown, continuing the tradition of pro cycling in downtown Greenville.
