In 1927, evangelist Bob Jones founded a Christian college in Florida. Nearly a century later, Bob Jones University (BJU)—in Greenville, SC, since 1947—approaches its second century, still rooted in biblical truth. As the BJU Promise states, students are “prepared to pursue their higher calling, anchored in truth, mentored in wisdom, and strengthened in faith.”
Alongside its popular Bible programs, BJU offers rigorous professional degrees as part of its regionally and nationally accredited Christian liberal arts education. The multiconcentration engineering program is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, while its nursing graduates consistently exceed state and national averages on licensure exams. The university’s yearlong celebration culminates in a performance of “Jubilate Deo,” featuring BJU’s 100-voice choir and full symphony orchestra.
