Known as the “19th hole,” we love the tradition of ambling over to your current club’s bar or pub for brilliant views of the course and its surroundings, where your foursome can sit, relax and recount details of the round. Members of the Traveling Country Club love to grab brews at Tacozinni in the Augusta Road neighborhood, and share plates at Chicora Alley. And there’s a great reason why: their membership perks include things like free beer at the former, and a discount on food at the latter. All the more reason to plan more games (and make less plans for what comes after!).
Go With the Disc Golf Crowd
For dedicated disc golfers—and beginners alike!—the game is part skill and strategy, part urban hiking trip. After this year’s BMW Pro-Am Tournament, word on the green was that the go-to for locals and celebrities was Juniper, the stunning new rooftop gin bar inside the AC Hotel.
