Heather Owens and Jack Doar had been dating for a year and a half before they began a new chapter of their lives together. They were exploring a new trail at Conestee Park one evening when Jack suddenly got down on one knee. Heather broke out in tears of joy and as Jack stood up and asked if that was a yes.
The couple was married on April 11 at Taylor’s First Baptist Church with a reception at View Point at Buckhorn Creek. Heather put together the bouquets herself using wholesale flowers. They celebrated with BBQ from Midway BBQ, ice cream from Rolling Cones, and chicken sandwiches donated from Pelham Road Chick-fil-A. The Tipsy Trailer, owned by a high school friend, provided bartending services.
