Katie Tarpy and David White

Katie Tarpy and David White both attended Furman University, but did not meet until years later, when David moved back to Greenville. After dating for about a year, David proposed at Lincoln Center in New York before taking Katie to see The Nutcracker. They celebrated the next day over dinner with friends at Cote Korean Steakhouse.
After a rehearsal dinner at Scoundrel, one of the couple’s first date spots, they were married at Daniel Chapel at Furman University, with a reception at The Westin Poinsett Hotel. At the reception, guests danced to Fly Fidelity and enjoyed cake by Couture Cakes, followed by late-night Krispy Kreme donuts served by a very talented stiltwalker. Katie wore a custom gown from Le Sposo di Gio.
Katie, a physician assistant with Prisma Health Gastroenterology, and David, a tax attorney with PwC, live in Greenville.
