TOWN contributor Sarah Bonnette was honored with the Ann C. Sherard Young Supporter of the Arts Award at the Metropolitan Arts Council annual meeting and awards ceremony.
Bonnette specializes in writing artist profiles for TOWN, including recent features on Jess Stone, Hans-Peter Bolz, and Christine Swann. She also writes about fashion and interiors, and is a regular contributor to TOWN‘s sister publication, AtHome magazine. In addition, she works with GreenvilleMOD, an organization that promotes and preserves mid-century and contemporary architecture.
MAC celebrated the community’s service to the arts at the meeting and awards event March 23 at Gunter Theatre in downtown Greenville. The organization shared 2025 highlights, including $550,932 granted to local arts organizations, individual artists, and schools. It funded 90 project support grants totaling $201,478.
After the awards were announced, support poured in from the arts community. “Much deserved, Sarah,” Katie Fenske wrote. “Congratulations and thank you for all you do to support artists here in Greenville.”
Glory Day McSharry wrote, “Thank you for being a hero!”
Karen Parks added, “You are the biggest arts supporter I know.”
