Welcome fall at one of these Upstate events

As summer winds to a close, there is still time to enjoy a stroll through an Upstate farmers market, past tables brimming with fruits and veggies, flowers, crafts, and coffee. In fact, dipping temps can make these fall markets more appealing than their summer siblings—all of the comforting community vibes, minus the heat and humidity.

TD Saturday Market Autumn Harvest

E. McBee & S. Main streets, downtown Greenville

Sat. Oct. 26, 8am–noon

More than 70 market vendors, trick-or-treating, a costume contest, photo opportunities galore, and a flash mob by Carolina Dance Collaborative make this fall market ideal for the whole family.

AutumnFest at the Market

Greenville State Farmers Market

1354 Rutherford Rd., Greenville

Sept. 27–28, 8am–6pm

Fall plants and flowers are a primary draw here, with experts on hand to answer your gardening questions. There are also pumpkins, gourds, food trucks, meats and dairy, and crafts.

Apple Fest & Season Finale, Travelers Rest Farmers Market

Sat., Sept. 21, 8:30am–12pm

Trailblazer Park, 235 Trailblazer Dr., Travelers Rest

Orchards offer piles of apples at this annual celebration, along with apple-themed products including pies, pastries, cider, tea towels, and candles. The event includes more than 80 vendors, plus music, kids’ activities, and food trucks. Mark your calendar for the Bluegrass and Harvest Market on Thursday evenings in October.

BridgeWay Bluegrass & BBQ Harvest Market

Thurs., Oct 3, 4–8pm

1000 Via Corso Ave., Simpsonville

Local musicians add to the vibe as friends and neighbors mingle at BridgeWay Station. This farmers market, held in the evening and set under the twinkling lights of an Italian-style mixed-use development, offers fresh vegetables, baked treats, music, and plenty of restaurants to try after you browse.
