An invitation to glow-in-the-dark putt-putt at Takeoff Mini Golf turned into happily ever after for Anna Nail and Zachary Vinson. They had met at a young professionals event the year before and became better acquainted as they putted around the aviation-themed holes. Zach then participated in Anna’s podcast, “Don’t Mind Me,” talking about community—and the chemistry must have been audible, because afterward, at least a dozen friends who had listened suggested he ask her out. A few weeks later, they went on their first date: mini golf, of course.
The proposal took place at Brookgreen Gardens in Murrells Inlet during a Night of a Thousand Candles event, a favorite of Anna’s. Later, they said their vows at the chapel at Tin Roof Farms in Saluda, South Carolina. Anna, a singer, made sure the ceremony featured several of the couple’s favorite worship songs, including “Great is Thy Faithfulness.” Anna wore a gown from White Magnolia Bridal, and guests enjoyed gluten-free and dairy-free cake from Christine at Baking Sweet Scents.
Zach, a physical therapist assistant, and Anna, a human resources consultant, live in Greer.
