Former Bachelorette Andi Dorfman and Blaine Hart are building a new life in Greenville
You may have seen Andi Dorfman on season 18 of The Bachelor, dumping star Juan Pablo Galavis, or you might have seen her handing out roses on her own season as The Bachelorette. But it turns out, her soulmate was right here in Greenville all along.
She married Blaine Hart, senior vice president at CBRE, in Sorrento, Italy, in May.
The duo met long before her televised romances, first connecting at a party with mutual friends while they were in college (Hart at Furman and Dorfman at Louisiana State University).
Hart says he was intrigued from the start. “Safe to say that I had to stay on the ‘pursuit’ for an extended period of time,” he jokes.
They ran into each other on occasion while traveling, and eventually, fate led them both to Italy. “I had to try one more time,” he says. She was in Positano with a friend, so he drove four hours in a rental car to take them out to dinner.
“We had the best time,” Hart says. “It goes without saying but I’m very glad I made the trek and continued the pursuit.”
It made sense to hold the wedding in Italy, the country where their relationship developed, so they planned a three-day celebration in Sorrento, Italy.
Dorfman called it a “perfect day” in People magazine’s coverage of the wedding, and Hart agrees. “Boating our family and friends up and down the Amalfi Coast to our events was truly special and a memory that we will always have and cherish with our guests,” he says.
The couple has settled in Greenville, where Hart stays busy with his commercial real estate work and Dorfman “ stays busy, always,” Hart says. “Whether it is writing another book, social media, house flipping or fresh DIYs, she’s got a big 2024 in store.”
Her television fame does lead to a lot of recognition and conversations with strangers, but he admires how she always remains friendly and interested in the people she meets. When people strike up a chat, “it is very likely centered on relatability and always leads to meeting new, great people and building friendships wherever we go.”
