Greenville’s sister act designs Briton Court line in matching prints for mothers and daughters

Jenny Hall, Kristina Teague, and Stephe Ebert are fashionistas. The sisters, who grew up in Greenville, have been obsessed with the retail fashion business and always had dreams of opening a boutique and working together. Now, with two stores, Vann & Liv and Harrington’s, and the custom clothing label Briton Court, the three have firmly ensconced themselves in style.

“Vann & Liv specializes in children’s wear that showcases a more contemporary look for kids,” says Teague, who heads up the boutique. At Harrington’s, which opened in 2021, owner Flood offers an eye-popping variety of vividly colorful patterned tops and dresses exclusive to Greenville – plus candles, accessories, shoes, and fragrances.

The three sisters launched Briton Court, their mother/daughter label named for the street where they grew up, two years ago. They collaborate together, then send their inspiration to artists in Brazil where the bold, bright prints are designed.

The dresses are made in India of luxuriously soft cotton blends and offer matching “mommy and me” designs that can be worn by both women and children—but also make a vivid statement worn individually.

What started as a small private label is now shipping into 350 stores nationwide. A game day collection is launching in July, and a baby line is in the works for next spring.

Recently, they’ve launched an event series called Social Hour to bring the community together. Guests enjoy champagne or cappuccino while they shop and mingle.

“We’ve always had this dream together. We did the research for years, then it all fell into place quickly,” says Flood. “It makes it so much more fun that we are doing it all together,” adds Ebert.
