It was love at first message. After Grier spotted Chris on a mutual friend’s Facebook page, she asked her friend to message him, saying, “Grier says to let her love you.” Chris responded to her almost instantly.
He said, “Hello, Miss Parrot, I’ve been told to let you love me!” Two years later, Chris got down on one knee after dinner in Daniel Morgan Square in downtown Spartanburg, where a friend surprised Grier with a bouquet of flowers, and a photographer and guitar soloist stood waiting. Grier was in tears immediately.
They held their wedding at Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera in Cancun, Mexico, against a magical backdrop of a beach sunset. Fifty of their closest friends and family stayed in the all-inclusive resort for the week. Grier and Chris, both in restaurant management, now live in Palmetto, Florida.
