People turn to education later in life for numerous reasons: building on a career, pivoting into a shifting role or simply pursuing a new passion. Whether you already completed a degree or you weren’t able to finish one in your younger days, the Upstate has a wealth of options for expanding your knowledge and skills, no matter your age.

Did you know? In 2020, one in 10 college students in the United States was 40 or over, according to the National Center for Education Statistics.

University Center Greenville

This is a great place to start, with 10 partner universities offering quality programs in one convenient location. The 150,000-square-foot facility has 55 instructional spaces, four computer labs and an auditorium. Specially designed distance education spaces ensure quality instruction for those attending remotely.

Dozens of degree programs are available, including bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees. Partner schools include: Anderson University, Bob Jones University, Clemson University, Converse, Furman University, Greenville Technical College, Lander, S.C. State University, University of South Carolina and USC Upstate. Options range from a cyber security certificate to a master of divinity degree to several doctorate options.
