From balancing full-time employment with demanding coursework to managing obstacles like financial emergencies, addiction recovery, or even homelessness, Greenville Technical College students often face significant hurdles that can make or break their chances at life-changing educational opportunities. This is where the Greenville Tech Foundation takes action.
Since its founding in 1973, and over the last 50 years, the foundation board and staff have been committed to harnessing the power of the local community to provide everyone with the opportunity to pursue their dreams in higher education at an affordable price. Through fundraising efforts, collaborative partnerships with local organizations, and innovative programs like the African American Male Scholars Initiative (AAMSI), Greenville Tech Foundation turns opportunity into outcomes—because educating the next generation is the best way to ensure the economic vitality and strength of the Upstate region. The foundation team knows that opening a door for one person does not merely help that individual alone.
Every time we expand access to education, we plant a seed for an endlessly branching ecosystem that creates a rich canopy for the entire community.
