This season’s latest fashion trends show off feminine silhouettes and unexpected accents
The leading styles for fall and winter 2025 embrace bold confidence through the intersection of feminine tailoring, romantic details, and sleek silhouettes. When shooting this issue’s cover, wardrobe stylist Jenny Pancoast kept these top five trends in mind.
- Maximal Minimalism
This concept, pairing minimalist silhouettes with unexpected textured details like fringe, tassels and floral appliques, inspired Pancoast’s overall styling of the photo shoot, bringing understated drama to classic looks. “We partnered with Harringtons to explore brands like Alémais (designer of the floral trench) and Tela Mercantile (designer of the pink long-sleeve mini), to bring beautiful textures and materials to timeless silhouettes–while creating a juxtaposition with the tradition of the Poinsett Club as our backdrop,” she says. - Voluminous and Curved Silhouettes
Pancoast used structured hourglass shapes, form-fitting fabrics, and timeless shoes (thank you, Muse Shoe Studio) to bring dimension and femininity. These ultra-flattering styles can be seen in the green minidress designed by Greenville-based Carolina Soma, as well as in the gorgeous black crewneck maxi from Maison Avenir. - Playful Prints and Captivating Textures
Pancoast sees vivid prints making a comeback in mainstream fashion, with elements like polka dots and captivating textures reworked into mixed print ensembles and matching sets. The patterned Saloni dress from Monkee’s of the West End combines elegance with a bit of whimsy, while specific accessories accentuate certain colors, says Pancoast. The simple sheen and tiny pleats of the soft-blue pleated dress from Maymont (new to Greenville) also grab attention. - Leather Looks
Leather is everywhere, from sets to single pieces, in “safe” colors like creams, browns, and blacks, as well as conversation-starting palettes like oxblood and green. Layering the green snakeskin leather jacket from Faux Beauty and silver accessories from Pace Jewelers give an elegant dress an unexpected twist. - Elevated Silk Loungewear
Luxurious silk sets (think pajama to suit-inspired looks) transition loungewear to streetwear, offering comfort and an effortless cool factor. “We fell in love with the silk pink set from Faux Beauty for its color, eye-catching print, and ease of wear,” says Pancoast. “The versatility of a set calls for many uses—a nod to the creativity and new energy seen in 2025 styling.”
