Greenville Center for Creative Arts will hold its sixth annual showcase on Friday, Aug. 6, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at 101 Abney St. in Greenville.

The event will feature a new Main Gallery exhibition with works from more than 100 local artists, a special exhibition of youth artwork created during GCCA’s summer art camps, live artist demos to promote the fall art school schedule and visits with 15 studio artists.

“The Annual Showcase celebrates the talent and diversity in Greenville’s local art scene, giving our youngest aspiring artists as well as seasoned artists the opportunity to show their work to the public,” says Executive Director Kim Fabian. “There’s something for everyone at this exhibit and it’s also a chance to buy original artwork for your home at affordable prices.”

During the showcase, the 2020-2021 Brandon Fellowship exhibition will also be on display to showcase work by emerging artists Savannah Ralph, Evan Givens and Anna Grace Burch. In addition, GCCA will announce the three new Brandon Fellows for the upcoming 2021-2022 program year.

Attendees will also hear live music by Fine Arts Center student Robbie Heyde and be able to participate in a drawing at 8 p.m. for two Shoeless Joe Jackson paintings completed by Brandon Fellow alumni Nick Burns at the Greenville Drive game on July 22.

After Aug. 6, the exhibition will be open to visitors Tuesdays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public.
