Greenville Women Giving kicked off its 17th season of giving at the Embassy Suites last Wednesday night. Over the last 16 years, GWG has awarded 140 grants and over $7.6 million to 87 Greenville County non-profits. Guests of the event heard from GWG co-chairs and learned about the educational events planned for this season. Grantee speaker Greg Garcia, the animal care supervisor at the Greenville Zoo, also spoke and explained the remodeling and expansion of the zoo’s leopard housing area.
