For Metropolitan Arts Council‘s Flat Out Under Pressure, Greenville artists gathered June 19 and 20 to create artwork in 24 hours. Judges chose the top eight pieces to earn cash prizes and be displayed on recycling bins around town. Christy Halbert was declared this year’s first place winner for her piece “Meet Us at the Church at 9:30 p.m.” She earned $1,000 and an all-expenses-paid trip to Italy.
