The Phoenix Center, Greenville’s local provider of substance-use-disorder treatment, is a recovery-friendly workplace. Now studying social work, Client Account Specialist Deana Zaehler once lived at Serenity Place, Phoenix Center’s residential treatment center for women.
“Working at the place that saved my life gives me opportunity to spread hope to others,” she says. Phoenix Center partners with SC Works and others to find meaningful employment for clients. CEO Rebecca Maddox notes, “Families aren’t fully healed without the support to be successful.”
