Rachel Josey & Jack Kelley
June 13, 2020
We all know there’s wisdom in the advice “marry your best friend.” Luckily for Rachel and Jack, that’s just what they did. The pair met at the University of Virginia and became good friends. After graduation, their college cohort gathered to celebrate at Austin City Limits in Texas, and whether it was the good food or the good music, sparks were definitely flying. The next three years were filled with adventure, including a move to New York City, and on a cold winter day in February, Jack asked Rachel to marry him in their cozy apartment on the Upper West Side. They had dreamed of a ceremony in Charlottesville, Virginia, the city where they met, but the COVID-19 pandemic forced a change of plans. Deciding all they required to celebrate was their wedding party and immediate family, the couple said their vows in Rachel’s parents’ backyard in Spartanburg. Each detail was provided by someone special to the couple, from the catering to the bride’s vintage veil, purchased in Brussels by her grandmother. The two now reside in Atlanta.
