After nearly two decades in healthcare, Sarah Dubose took time to smell the flowers. She began volunteering at an urban farm owned by her future husband George; they’ve since transitioned from a small piece of leased land to acres of their own where guests come just to pick flowers or to celebrate special occasions.
Sassafrass also hosts events with food trucks and live music. “It’s different than snagging a bouquet somewhere,” she says. “Picking flowers makes the experience.”
