Farmers market season is here, and with a slew of Upstate staples, finding fresh and local goods is easy. Each boasts unique strengths—some are dog and kid friendly, while others offer live music and cooking demos. If you’re looking to fill your day, and your reusable produce bag, head to one of these area markets.

Travelers Rest Farmers Market – Fresh cut lavender bouquets

Summer workouts just got easier thanks to the Travelers Rest market. Kick off Saturday mornings with free yoga and afterwards indulge in weekend brunch with tasty treats from vendor Upstate Provisions Bakery & Bistro. If you’re a wannabe food critic, join in on the market’s 6th annual Tomato Sandwich Taste-Off. While you might not be able to resist finishing your food goods at the market, you’ll brighten any room with a Twin Creeks Lavender lavender bouquet.

115 Trailblazer Drive, Travelers Rest. May–Sept., Saturdays, 8:30 am-noon, (864) 610-0965

TD Saturday Market – Charcuterie boards

If you’ve been in downtown Greenville on a Saturday morning, you’ve surely noticed the hustle and bustle of the TD Saturday Market. Originally 20 vendors, this fresh food fest has increased to more than 75 vendors plus several special experiences, such as live music and chef’s demonstrations. Entering their 17th season, the market welcomes you to taste and see food grown within 100 miles of Greenville. Start your morning here, then spruce up your night (and dinner party) with a charcuterie board from Ballew Woodworks.

Main St at McBee Ave. May 4–Oct. 26, Saturdays, 8am–noon

Mauldin Farmers Market – Mead

A duo that will stand the test of time—food trucks and beer await you this summer at the Mauldin Farmers Market. The jubilant atmosphere at this Tuesday evening affair welcomes you with live music, starting around 5:30pm, to be enjoyed with family and friends, even your dog. While beer and wine are available, top off your night with a locally made mead from Wandering Bard Meadery.

699 E Butler Rd, Mauldin. June 4–August 27, Tuesdays, 5–8 pm, (864) 335-4862

Greer Farmers Market – Cinnamon buns

In the heart of downtown Greer is a market that caters to your youthful side. Peruse through a variety of plants, including heirloom vegetables, or check out the hoard of natural body products and artisan foods. This child-friendly market also offers parents a moment sip on a fresh-made juice or tea while kids jump their hearts out in the bounce house on site. With all hands on deck, Great Harvest grinds their own grains to produce some of the best buns in the Upstate—bringing them right to you on Saturday mornings in Greer.

301 E Poinsett St, Greer, SC. May 11–Oct., Saturdays, 8:30 am-noon, (864) 359-9701

Hub City Farmers Market – Dandelion unhoney

With a golf-cart shuttle assisting customers from far away parking, Hub City Market is working overtime to increase the supply, demand, and access to healthy and local food. While aiming to increase business for local producers and farmers, they’re teaching children (and adults) about the importance of eating healthy, in the tastiest way. Don’t miss the Big Fields dandelion unhoney, a concoction that looks and pours like honey and provides a smooth taste not even bees could create.

Northside Harvest Park 498 Howard St. Spartanburg. April 6–Dec.14, Saturdays, 8am-noon, (864)585-0905
