In the heart of downtown Greenville, the sound of jazz will echo down Main Street during the second annual Greenville Jazz Fest. The music festival—June 7 and 8—brings listeners from all over the Upstate to enjoy music and food throughout the weekend.
Performances will include the New Orleans sounds of the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, plus swing, funk, and big band sounds from artists including Tish Oney Quartet, the All County Jazz Ensemble, and Butcher Brown. Food trucks and drink tents will round out the event.
“Jazz music has a rich history in Greenville and we are thrilled to host an event that brings people together, creates connections, and leaves a lasting impact on the community,” said Tara Eaker, director of the City of Greenville’s Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department. “After the success of last year’s inaugural gathering, we’re proud and excited to expand this year’s event into a two-day celebration, right in the heart of our city.”
Whether you’re a jazz aficionado or someone just learning about the all-American musical style, this event is sure to hit all the right notes.

Branching out from the Main Street festival, JazzEd sessions—a partnership with the Greenville Jazz Collective—were held in neighborhood community centers, including Nicholtown and West Greenville, leading up to the festival. Children and families gathered to learn the rich history of jazz, the sounds of jazz instruments, and basic jazz theory.
