After a necessary year off, the BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation returned without skipping a beat. During the June 10-13 event held between The Cliffs and Thornblade, the 2021 crowds were lively, players were enthusiastic to be back, and new and returning celebrities put on just the right amount of show.

The unseasonably mild temperatures Thursday night for the Par Three Shootout party hosted by 3’s Greenville was out-shown only by stars like actor Michael Peña and middleweight boxing world champion Canelo Álvarez, whose newfound golf game would ultimately overtake much more seasoned players to land the celebrity title on Saturday. The weekend’s steamy weather ensured drink lines were long and the printed pairing guide doubled as a shade or make-shift fan, but spectators didn’t seem to mind. They were equally as happy as the players to return to the course.

Off the Fairway, On the Speedway

The biggest hit outside of the charity event? A different kind of drive: this year’s roster of celebrities were treated to a day behind the wheel at the BMW Performance Driving School at the Official BMW Performance Center. Haven’t experienced the thrill of this uniquely Upstate, SC excursion? It’s time to take your inner speed demon out to play.
