It started with a walk on the trail. Leigh Savage, executive editor of TOWN, was featured on Griffin Donley’s podcast, The Upstate Trail Talks. During the chat, they realized they had similar goals: shining a spotlight on the people who are making an impact on the Upstate through art, culture, style, food, business, and other endeavors.
“Griffin and I were talking about how much we love meeting fascinating people and sharing their stories, and we realized that joining forces would be a great way to give audiences a new way to experience our content,” Savage says.
For every issue of TOWN, Donley will create a podcast to supplement an article featured in the magazine. Readers can enjoy the story in print or online, and check out the accompanying podcast for a more in-depth look at the subject.
“We are all about connection, community, and supporting local businesses,” Donley says. “What better way to achieve that than by working together with another incredible local media group to share the stories of those who make the Upstate the wonderful place it is!”
